NBA calling for UCLA's frosh?
By Matt Giles
The speculation has already started about whether Shabazz Muhammad and Kyle Anderson, two-thirds of UCLA's stellar freshmen class that has helped propel UCLA to the top of the Pac-12, will depart from Westwood following the season.
Tracy Pierson of Scout always has a handle on the program's pulse, and he noted recently that there are whispers both will likely leave for the NBA when UCLA's season ends. However, Pierson does add some stipulations: if both are projected to be drafted in the lottery, they are definitely gone, but if Anderson potentially hears that he would go lower in the first round, there is a very high possibility the guard will return for his sophomore season.
It will be interesting to see how UCLA's season wraps up; if the Bruins make a run in the Pac-12 and possibly NCAA tournament, both could very well leave UCLA. However, if the Bruins suffer a disappointing loss in the conference tourney, could the frosh duo return?
