Barlow's special skill
By Matt Giles
Alex Barlow enrolled in Butler and walked-on to the team because he wanted to learn how to coach basketball from Brad Stevens. However, his skills have been valued this season; he scored the game-winning shot against Indiana, and has been a defensive stalwart.
In particular, during Butler's recent win over Gonzaga, Barlow's defense on Kevin Pangos was inspired. Barlow played 33 minutes, and his primary assignment was holding Pangos in check. After lighting up the Bulldogs last season, scoring 19 points, Barlow managed to limit Pangos to just five points.
