Oregon with best shot at Pac-12 title?
By Nic Reiner
The top of the Pac-12 features five teams separated by one game. Oregon and Arizona sit atop the conference at 10-4. California and Arizona St. are at 9-5 and UCLA is sandwiched between the quartet at 9-4. With a little over two weeks remaining, who has the inside track to the Pac-12 regular season crown and the No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas next month?
Oregon probably has the best chance of edging out the rest of the pack. Though the Ducks have to play at Colorado and host up-and-down Stanford, they also get dates with conference bottom-feeders Oregon St. and Utah. Arizona has what looks to be the toughest road, with games against USC, UCLA and Arizona St. left on the slate. UCLA has a shot but has to start off the stretch run with a victory at USC. If they get by the Trojans, the Bruins host the Arizona schools with serious title hopes.
The UCLA-Arizona game in Los Angeles on March 2nd figures to be the game with the most title implications but every game between the top five teams in the final two weeks of Pac-12 play will impact the title race.
