Severity of Cashmere Wright's injury
By Joe Kaiser
Cincinnati point guard Cashmere Wright was forced out of Tuesday's game with DePaul early in the second half with an injury to his right knee. A scheduled MRI will determine the severity of the injury, but some early indications point to it being less serious than initially feared.
Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News wrote after the game: "Bearcats coach Mick Cronin told Sporting News by text after the game that Wright would need an MRI to assess the injury but that the trainer and team doctor were upbeat about his prospects."
The Bearcats aren't nearly the same team without their fifth-year senior on the court, so everyone will certainly be holding their breath until the MRI results are in. We'll be sure to keep you posted when more information is available.
