Oladipo good to go Tuesday?
By Luke Lapinski
According to Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News, top-ranked Indiana expects to have Victor Oladipo in the lineup when it travels to East Lansing to square off with No. 4 Michigan State on Tuesday. This comes after the rapidly rising NBA prospect had to leave Saturday's game against Purdue with an apparent ankle injury.
"We practiced some yesterday, and he went through that," head coach Tom Crean said on a conference call. "I don't anticipate he won't be ready to go tomorrow night."
That's obviously huge news for the Hoosiers, who rely on the junior guard for his phenomenal defensive play -- a skill that will certainly come in handy against the Spartans' dangerous backcourt weapons. Oladipo has become a major contributor on offense as well, jumping to 13.8 points per game this season. Plus, he's a huge energy guy and the type of player that seems to rise to the occasion in big games. All of those will be valuable assets as IU looks to hold on to the No. 1 ranking in a place where many top teams have stumbled this season: on the road.
