How Indiana's defense improved

After his team has just lost to Indiana, John Beilein was blunt about how the Wolverines started the game: "Their offense early was our [lack] of offense ... As a result, all of a sudden, you get buried." The Hoosiers held Michigan to just 1.01 points per possession, one of the very few occasions when UM has been held that close to the one point mark. The other was another loss, to Ohio State, where UM was manacled (.83 PPP). Indiana's defensive turnaround this season has been well-covered, but coach Tom Crean recently had an interesting take on their defensive improvement: "We had to be a better one-on-one team. We couldn't overhelp."
