Illinois' bright future

Illinois has been one of the nation's most surprising teams this season. While the Illini are a seasoned bunch -- Ken Pomeroy ranks Illinois as one of DI's oldest teams -- it was unknown how the squad would react to the coaching change, and the incoming strategy of John Groce. Though Big Ten play has been tough for the team as opponents take advantage of the Illini's dependence on three-point shooting, Groce and his staff will have a nearly rookie roster next season as Brandon Paul, Tyler Griffey, D.J. Richardson, and Sam McLaurin will have finished their eligibilities.
