Shockers may be better by 2014 tourney

Gregg Marshall’s Wichita State Shockers had to take a step back. After a 30-win season a year ago that culminated in a Final Four appearance, coupled with the departure of two of the team’s top three scorers, there was no way the Missouri Valley program would be the same.

And it’s not the same.

The Shockers are one of three unbeaten teams left in the country (No. 1 Arizona and No. 2 Syracuse are the others), and are even more well-rounded and formidable.
