Florida a quiet title contender

Kim Klement/USA TODAY SportsKasey Hill and Florida have remained hidden from national conversations but can play with anyone. The season began with suspensions of two of Billy Donovan’s most complete players -- Scottie Wilbekin and Dorian Finney-Smith.
There was the injury to the team's only other natural ball handler, freshman point guard Kasey Hill.
There’s been the absence of Casey Prather, who lit it up early to help make sure the Florida Gators didn’t go into a complete free-fall.
All of this and the Gators are still 15-2. And the two losses? There was the last-second miracle game winner by Shabazz Napier at UConn, the one in which Wilbekin wasn’t on the floor for the final few minutes and Finney-Smith was forced to run the team with Hill also on the mend. The loss at Wisconsin was legitimate. Most teams fall in Madison, but Donovan’s team had a valid excuse: no Wilbekin and no Finney-Smith.
No team has been as incomplete as Florida. No national title contender has managed to slide under the radar
