Bengals in on Fitzpatrick?

By Tim Kavanagh

The Cincinnati Bengals have their starting QB in Andy Dalton, but have been searching for a backup option this offseason, with Bruce Gradkowski out of the picture (he signed with Pittsburgh last week). One potential option: Ryan Fitzpatrick, formerly of the Bengals, who was cut last week by the Buffalo Bills.

According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, Fitzpatrick was spotted talking to Bengals HC Marvin Lewis in the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore -- where the NFL owners meetings are taking place this week -- and the word is that the QB also met with Bengals owner Mike Brown. Signing Fitzpatrick is not the kind of move that will make or break the Bengals season, but having a backup with starting experience is never a bad idea.
