Any interest in James Harrison?
By Tim Kavanagh
In the opening days of James Harrison's free agency, there was quite a bit of speculation that he'd sign quickly with another team -- in fact, some even believed that the Steelers' rivals in Baltimore, Cleveland or New England would swoop in and grab him. But, despite all of this perceived interest, Harrison remains a man without a team. So, what gives?
According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, Harrison's name has not generated very much excitement amongst those with whom he's spoken at the NFL owners meetings. "Cannot find anyone admitting to being interested in the former Steeler," King writes. "Seems if he wants to play this year, he'll have to do for less than half of what he was supposed to make for the Steelers. He should have taken the cut the Steelers were offering."
That could wind up being one of the teams mentioned above, but if it is, it appears it's going to be at a team-friendly rate.
