Another bad break for Beaubois

By Nick Borges

Rodrigue Beaubois' progress has been thwarted since his second season in the NBA due to multiple injuries and it struck again on Sunday. According to Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com, the guard fractured the second metacarpal in his left hand and he's listed as out indefinitely.

There is a little more than four weeks remaining in the regular season and Sunday's game could be his last this season and with the Mavs' organization. Beaubois is a free agent in July and there is a very good chance the Mavs will not tender him a qualifying offer by June 30. As a result, Beaubois would then enter the market as an unrestricted free agent.

“I don’t know what to say,” head coach Rick Carlisle told The Dallas Morning News. “I feel very bad for him. He had been putting the work in and obviously was playing well and this was a game where we needed him. He’s had some bad luck with injuries."

Most followers of the Mavs believe Beaubois will be on a different roster next season.
