NBA trades - Maynor headed to Portland?
By Joe Kaiser
UPDATE: Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports clarifies the terms of the deal.
According to Spears, Oklahoma City will get a trade exception from Portland in the deal for Eric Maynor.
Oklahoma City has been shopping third-string point guard Eric Maynor for the past week, and they may have find a taker in the Portland Trail Blazers.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst tweets that the two teams are in talks centered around Maynor, and there is speculation that Portland could be trading one of the league's top rebounders this season, J.J. Hickson, to OKC in the deal.
We'll let you know if we hear more, but if the Thunder somehow manage to swap their third-string point guard for a starter who can potentially serve as an upgrade at center to Kendrick Perkins, it'll be a big win for OKC and make them that much more of a championship contender.
