No fun for this Young
By AJ Mass
Valentine's Day has come and gone, and in it's wake, whatever warm feelings the St. Louis Rams may have had for wide receiver Titus Young seemed to have gone away with the holiday.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams have parted ways with Young, just nine days after claiming him off waivers from the Detroit Lions.
"We will be waiving Titus today — this afternoon — so he will no longer be on the roster," coach Jeff Fisher told reporters on Friday. "His agent has been contacted that we’re gonna release him today."
The Rams were hoping that by claiming Young, they could show him they were serious about wanting him, but apparently after just a few days of getting to know him, Fisher felt that "Titus is better suited for another organization."
It's hard to imagine any other team taking as long a look at Young as the Rams did now that Fisher has so publicly "flunked" the wide receiver. Perhaps a trip to the CFL is in the cards here, because without a major image rehabilitation, few NFL teams are going to give Young a call.
