Indianapolis, the home of Super Bowl LII?
By Brent Sobleski
Indianapolis hosted the Super Bowl a little over a year ago. The city already has plans to host a second Super Bowl in the future.
Indianapolis is poised to make a bid on the 2018 Super Bowl.
"No red flags at this point,” Allison Melangton, president of the Indiana Sports Corp., told Chris Sikich of the Indianapolis Star.
"We’re doing a lot of homework. The decision to move forward is not to be made lightly."
A final decision will be made before Friday -- the deadline to submit a letter of intent to host the 2018 game.
Indianapolis could be the early frontrunner to host Super Bowl LII. The city's top competition will come from Minneapolis and Atlanta according to Sikich. Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons will have new stadiums in place the league may want to highlight.
