Good news for Valanciunas

Jonas Valanciunas spent the night in a Chicago hospital after hurting his neck on Tuesday during the win over the Bulls. According to the Toronto Sun, the Raptors rookie passed all tests and Wednesday he flew back to Toronto with with Alex McKechnie, the team’s director of sports science.
Valanciunas is officially listed with a flexion extension or whiplash and he will be re-evaluated on Thursday. Valanciunas will likely finish out the season if he gets clearance from Toronto's medical staff.
Valanciunas, the No. 5 pick in the 2011 draft, is averaging 8.7 points, 6.0 rebound and 1.2 blocks.
