Timetable for Noah's next return
By Joe Kaiser
It's been a brutal stretch for Joakim Noah over the last couple weeks as he's missed time to recover from a serious case of plantar fasciitis. Then, just when it looked like he was safe to return on Sunday, he re-aggravated the injury and had to miss Tuesday's game against Toronto. When will Noah return to the court next?
It won't be Thursday. According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said today that Noah has already been ruled out for the team's home game against New York.
Regardless of when Noah returns -- and the feeling is that he should be back for the playoffs -- the worry is that he'll be rusty at a time when Chicago needs him most. After all, he's already missed nine of the last 10 games, and Thursday will make it 10 of 11. But we do know this about Noah -- he's a gamer.
"I haven't played in a while, so I think the more I play, the more I'll get into a rhythm and the better I'll feel out there," Noah told reporters in Detroit over the weekend. "It's something that's going to linger on, so I'll just have to keep getting all the treatments and fight through it."
