Good news for Gibson
By Nick Borges
Forward Taj Gibson complained Tuesday that his knee was still hurting and fortunately an MRI on Wednesday showed the MCL is not torn, reports Nick Friedell of ESPNChicago.com. A tear would have likely ended his season.
Gibson missed 10 games after he sprained the MCL and right now the team has no timeline for his return to the lineup, however he should be able to play at some point. It might be clarified on Thursday when the knee will be re-evaluated by the medical staff.
Luol Deng will likely see more minutes at power forward with Gibson sidelined. Vladimir Radmanovic might get in the playing rotation, too.
