Is Jimmer's trade value on the rise?

Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee put it about as well as anyone could: "When Jimmer Fredette plays the way he did Thursday night, it's hard to argue against him playing, and playing a lot," he writes in today's newspaper. Fredette, whose role in Sacramento's crowded backcourt continues to be a giant mystery, started at shooting guard against Phoenix and erupted for 23 points on 9-15 shooting, including 5-7 from 3-point range. All this from a player who didn't even get off the bench in two of the Kings' four preseason games thus far.

So now what? Even with Fredette showing some of the confidence he displayed in his college days and playing both guard positions, he still may not be a big part of the Kings' rotation this season. Given that, there may never be a better time to deal the third-year pro. If that happens, the Utah Jazz could be the perfect trade partner.
