The Texas Rangers were well represented in my preseason top 100 rankings earlier this week, with four infielders, arguably the best catcher and two slugging outfielders making the list. According to ESPN's future power rankings, which finished up with the top 10 on Thursday, the Rangers are the model franchise in the big leagues. As if winning consecutive American League pennants wasn't enough, the future also looks mighty bright.
Fantasy owners certainly should know about second baseman Ian Kinsler, third baseman Adrian Beltre, outfielder Josh Hamilton, outfielder Nelson Cruz, catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli, shortstop Elvis Andrus and corner infielder Michael Young, the seven Texas hitters I'd call worthy of being selected in the first 10 rounds of any fantasy draft, plus some of their valuable teammates, but here are my three biggest questions surrounding this powerful offense, from a fantasy perspective. I'm sure I'll be dealing with pitching angles, like what to expect from Yu Darvish and Joe Nathan, over the next month.
Eric Karabell takes a closer look at fantasy expectations for Josh Hamilton, Mike Napoli and Elvis Andrus.
