Feliz has solid first start; Chipper homers

April, 11, 2012
Texas Rangers right-hander Neftali Feliz dazzled in his first major league start Tuesday, holding the Seattle Mariners to four singles over seven shutout innings. Sure, the Mariners aren't an offensive juggernaut, but they had little trouble against Feliz's teammate Yu Darvish on Monday. Feliz dealt with shoulder issues in March, but seems fine now.

• Speaking of seeming fine, Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones came off the DL Tuesday after missing time due to March knee surgery, and singled and homered in his first two at-bats. Jones, who hit 18 home runs in 2011, is owned in only 43.3 percent of ESPN standard leagues despite being a 23rd-round draft pick. It's time to get him back.

Houston Astros outfielder Jordan Schafer stole three bases Tuesday, adding three singles and a pair of runs scored. A former Braves prospect acquired in the Michael Bourn trade (Bourn also stole a base Tuesday), Schafer stole 22 bases in 26 attempts last season in only 82 games. Getting on base consistently has been a problem for him, but there's stolen-base upside.
