We're nearly halfway through the 2013 season, and we've seen some good, some bad and some Josh Hamilton. This week in the KaraBlog, we'll take a look at each team at the midpoint of the season and discuss what has happened and what should happen. With five divisions complete, we conclude with the National League West.
Buy low: Aaron Hill can hit, folks. And run. And I refuse to believe Martin Prado can't hit .300 from this point on. I also won't give up on Adam Eaton producing if he ever gets healthy. Plus, Ian Kennedy has pitched better than his numbers show. Man, the Diamondbacks are going to get even better and win this division.
Stat to watch: Watch the BABIP and home run rates for Corbin. Also, early velocity for recovering J.J. Putz warrants a look. One would think manager Kirk Gibson has seen the stats for Heath Bell -- any of them -- so if Putz has a setback, David Hernandez should be someone to watch.
