Baltimore Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts made his season debut Tuesday, hitting three singles and a sacrifice fly in five plate appearances from the leadoff spot. Once upon a time, Roberts was an annual top-5 option at his position. But he has played only 98 big league games over the past two seasons, dealing with concussion woes and other ailments. Let's see a month of health and production before buying in.

Boston Red Sox right-hander Clay Buchholz looks rejuvenated, as he beat the Miami Marlins on Tuesday for his seventh win. Buchholz allowed one run over seven innings, striking out nine and walking only two. In his past four outings, Buchholz, who had a 7.84 ERA in late May, has a 1.45 ERA and better command. He's one of ESPN's most added players, and he should be. He's still available in 27.5 percent of leagues, though.

New York Mets outfielder Jason Bay was hitless in five at-bats Tuesday, and since coming off the disabled list last week, he hasn't reached base via hit or walk in four games, which included 16 at-bats. The Mets will be patient, but it's hard to make a case that Bay is worth relying on, even in NL-only leagues. The other Mets pounded out 14 hits and 11 runs in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
