Inconsistency plaguing Trevor Bauer

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Trevor Bauer allowed one hit in Tuesday's abbreviated outing at Cincinnati, but it was a three-run homer to the Reds' Ryan Ludwick. Bauer walked five, fanned four and permitted four runs (three earned) in his messy three innings. His ERA is 6.06, his WHIP 1.65, and his excellent win over the Los Angeles Dodgers July 8 seems aberrant. Own him in dynasty formats for sure, but this season might continue to be inconsistent.
Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks launched a 460-foot home run Tuesday, inching his batting average back to .200. The last time it was higher: April 18. Weeks is hitting .298 with a 1.006 OPS in July, so he's improving and continues to be a decent buy-low option. He is available in roughly 20 percent of ESPN leagues.
