Noel, Adams added to Jordan Brand game

On Wednesday, the Jordan Brand Classic game’s organizers are going to announce that ESPN’s No. 1 player Nerlens Noel (Everett, Mass./Tilton School) and No. 6 Steven Adams (New Zealand/Notre Dame Prep) will be added to the roster.

Their additions give the Jordan Brand Classic nine of the top-10 prospects in the ESPNU 100, the most of any postseason all-star game this year.

The Jordan Brand flexed its muscle as it amped up its roster. It also took its time to make the announcement and it had a reason. Until recently, Noel’s academic standing at the Tilton School was in question. Once he switched from the Class of 2013 to the 2012 class, there were hurdles to jump over. Remember, he had to take unofficial visits to Kentucky and Syracuse because he was yet to be named a senior. Recently, he visited Georgetown officially, signaling his official movement into the senior class.
