WAYNE, N.J. – For many, the Spring Fling marked the unofficial tip-off of the spring AAU season. The event, run by Jim Salmon of the Playaz Basketball Club, served as a gathering place for many of the top New Jersey and New York travel teams and provided an early peek at players mainly from the 2013 and 2015 classes.
2013, PF, 6-5, 195 pounds
Cameron is a hybrid 4-man with one of the better strokes we’ve seen a big have in the class. Offensively, he has the hallmarks – especially from the perimeter – of a small forward. Defensively he guards bigs. As the summer evolves, watching him settle into a position will be a question we and college recruiters have. Regardless, he’ll be a high-major player.
