Where you will find one, you will usually find the other. That is almost always the case when it comes to Michigan and Ohio State, especially for the state of Ohio’s best football players.
Linebacker Kyle Berger (Cleveland/St. Ignatius) has offers from both programs now after the Wolverines extended a scholarship Tuesday.
“I’m really excited about this offer,” Berger wrote in a text message. “I was up for camp at Michigan this summer and loved the coaches and the school and always dreamt for an offer [from] Michigan. I’m really pumped.”
Ohio State was the first program to offer Berger back in December. Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan State, Penn State and West Virginia have all followed suit.
As a junior, he finished with 90 tackles -- 39 for loss -- and registered 8½ sacks.
