The Michigan coaching staff is still targeting running backs Derrick Green (Richmond, Va./Hermitage) and Jordan Wilkins (Cordova, Tenn./St. Benedict) for the 2013 class. It has been difficult for Michigan to get them on campus, but Wilkins will finally get his chance to see Ann Arbor.
"I'm visiting some family in Detroit and my parents said that my aunt is going to take me to Michigan," he said. "Michigan has always been a place I wanted to visit; it's just been hard because I've been so busy."
Since he'll be traveling with his aunt the visit will be short, but it will give him an up-close look at what the Wolverines have to offer. That's important for Michigan's chances as he would like to make a decision relatively soon.
"I kind of want to get it done before my senior season starts," he said. "I have a few more visits to take still. I'm going to Michigan and then I think I'll take one more to Tennessee, maybe."
Wilkins was rumored to be close to committing to Auburn after a visit, and while he said he does like the Tigers he is still looking at all the schools in his top group. He's taking visits because he said he doesn't know what everyone has to offer yet.
"Auburn, Vanderbilt, Michigan and Tennessee are my top schools," he said. "I want to see Michigan, and you never know what could happen or what could change things."
