HuskyNation signing day blog
By Mason Kelley
The big day has arrived. It is finally time for Washington to announce its 2013 recruiting class. As letters of intent are received by the Huskies, HuskyNation will keep you updated. Will there be any surprises? We'll have to wait and see. If something happens, we've got you covered.
1:52 p.m -- Washington has received the letter of intent for linebacker Sean Constantine (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue). Steve Sarkisian's press conference will begin shortly.
1:10 p.m. -- Offensive lineman Nico Falah (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) and linebacker Myles Jack (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue) have signed with USC and UCLA, respectively.
12:08 p.m. -- Jermaine Kelly (Los Angeles/Salesian) becomes the third cornerback to sign with the Huskies. He is the 19th prospect to submit a letter of intent Wednesday.
10:46 a.m. -- It looks like Washington is still waiting on three letters of intent from verbal commits -- cornerback Jermaine Kelly (Los Angeles/Salesian), linebacker Sean Constantine (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue) and defensive lineman Jaimie Bryant (Tumwater, Wash./Tumwater).
Bellevue is having a signing ceremony at 1 p.m., which could be why Washington hasn't received an LOI from Constantine. It sounds like Bryant plans to greyshirt.
There was no suspense with Elijah Qualls, who made it official with Washington.
10:20 a.m. -- It's official, linebacker Keishawn Bierria (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne) has signed with Washington. He had a great official visit over the weekend and it's no surprise he committed to the program, joining teammate, quarterback Troy Williams, who enrolled early.
9:36 a.m. -- Washington continues to pile up prospects with running back Lavon Coleman (Lompoc, Calif./Lompoc) signing with the Huskies. He is the only running back in the 2013 class.
9:24 a.m. -- The strange journey of cornerback Patrick Enewally (Cerritos, Calif./Gahr) has ended with Washington. The Huskies just announced he has submitted a letter of intent.
9:21 a.m. -- Not long after Crane faxed in his letter of intent his teammate, linebacker Connor O'Brien submitted his, bringing Washington total to 15 prospects so far.
9:17 a.m. -- Dane Crane (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita) has submitted his letter of intent, giving Washington all three of its offensive line commits. It will be interesting to see if Nico Falah (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) changes his mind later today and flips from USC to Washington.
9:10 a.m. -- The Huskies have now received 13 letters of intent now that cornerback Kevin King (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) has faxed his LOI to Washington's coaching staff.
8:40 a.m. -- Washington's fax machine went quiet for a while, but it's cranked out another name -- defensive lineman Andrew Basham (Lynnwood, Wash./Lynnwood).
8:10 a.m. -- Washington has received letters of intent from all three of its receiver recruits, the latest coming from Damore'ea Stringfellow (Moreno Valley, Calif./Rancho Verde).
8:04 a.m. -- Add defensive end Joe Mathis (Upland, Calif./Upland) to the list of Washington recruits who has sent in his letter of intent.
8:00 a.m. -- Minutes after Hall made the decision to attend Texas A&M, the Huskies receiver a letter of intent from OL Coleman Shelton (Los Angeles/Loyola).
7:58 a.m. -- Washington was just hit with a bit of bad news with DE Daeshon Hall (Lancaster, Texas/Lancaster) announcing he will play football at Texas A&M. Hall was one of seven prospects who committed to the Huskies during a break in the Rising Stars Camp this summer.
7:41 a.m. -- Washington has signed a clutch kicker now that Cameron Van Winkle (Snoqualmie, Wash./Mount Si) -- the nation's No. 6-rated kicker) has submitted his letter of intent.
7:35 a.m. -- The Huskies have officially added their tight end in the 2013 class with David Ajamu (Shelton, Wash./Shelton) signing with Washington.
7:30 a.m. -- For those keeping track at home, Washington is up to six signees so far in this class after Darrell Daniels (Oakley, Calif./Freedom) becomes the second receiver to sign with the Huskies.
