ESPN 60 SF puts Huskies among top six
By Brad Bournival
An ESPN 60 junior from Texas has Washington among his six finalists.
Justin Jackson (Spring, Texas/Homeschool Christian Youth Association), a 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward, is rated as the 16th-best player overall and the fifth-best small forward in his class nationally. He went to his Twitter account with these words: “I’m down to Arizona, Ohio State, Texas A&M, UNC, Virginia, and Washington. There’s no order.”
A five-star prospect with a great mid-range jumper and rebounding skills, he could be used as a shooting guard as well.
Jackson was the first home-schooled athlete to play on the USA Basketball U16 Team. Last season, he helped the HCYA Warriors to a 37-13 record. This summer he led his AAU team in scoring and had single-game bests of 37 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and 10 assists.
