Tales from the road: Freedom
By Mason Kelley

Joe Mixon currently has six scholarship offers, including one one from Washington.
At The Opening this this summer, the 6-foot-3, 211-pound receiver wore a Washington beanie. It was hot, but it didn’t stop Daniels from representing the Huskies.
On Wednesday morning at Oakley (Calif.) Freedom, Daniels was easy to spot. He wore a black beanie high on his head. He walked into the school's main office with junior running back Joe Mixon and coach Kevin Hartwig.
Daniels had just finished up his finals for the day, while Mixon only had a few minutes to talk before heading back to class to take another test.
Mixon had enough time to fit in a video interview. The 6-foot-1, 191-pound standout talked briefly about the recruiting process and his six offers -- Washington was the second Pac-12 school to offer him a scholarship. He said hopes to add a few more soon and mentioned Nebraska, UCLA and Wisconsin.
Daniels said he is still firmly committed to the Huskies, but he does plan on at least taking an official visit to UCLA in addition to the trip to Washington he will take in January.
HuskyNation will have a video interview with Mixon on Sunday and more on Daniels next week.
