Tall cornerbacks can be tough to find.
So, when Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O’Dowd coach Hardy Nickerson watches 6-foot-2 senior Kevin King lock up big receivers in man-to-man coverage, he sees something special.
“You look at any big corner in the NFL and he has the potential to be that kind of player,” said Nickerson, who played 16 seasons in the NFL. “He’s got great feet, great hips. He’s got outstanding closing speed and his ball skills are off the charts.”
