TACOMA, Wash. -- Jack Meggs had been waiting for his chance to run the football all season.
The Bellevue (Wash.) quarterback got his opportunity in the Class 3A state championship game, scoring twice during the Wolverines' 35-3 win over Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic.
“I got to run the ball,” said Meggs, who had 108 rushing yards on eight carries. “That’s what I’ve wanted to do all year. This kind of put an exclamation point on my football career. It’s just awesome to be out here with my friends.”
