USC Trojans: By The Numbers

UCLA: By the numbers

November, 15, 2012
1: The number of times that UCLA has defeated USC in the last 13 meetings
The Bruins’ lone victory in that time-span was in 2006 when an underdog UCLA team took down a No. 2-ranked Trojans’ squad 13-9, ruining USC's chances of playing in the BCS title game. USC currently holds a five-game winning streak in the crosstown rivalry, most recently defeating UCLA 50-0 in 2011.

3.7: The number of sacks per game that the UCLA defense averages in 2012
Just one season after ranking No. 112 in the nation with an average of just one sack per game, the Bruins are now tied for fourth, a credit to first-year head coach Jim Mora and staff. Ironically, the team that UCLA is tied with is USC.

13: Where UCLA ranks nationally in total offense with 496.8 yards per game
Offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone’s fast-paced spread attack has been a hit in Westwood, lighting up the scoreboard to a tune of 37.7 points per game. Another sign of the dramatic turnaround this season, the Bruins averaged just 376.6 yards per game in 2011 -- the No. 72 mark in the FBS.

76.9: Brett Hundley’s completion percentage over the last three games
Hundley, a redshirt freshman, has been incredibly efficient in that span, completing 60 of 78 pass attempts for 823 yards and 10 touchdowns with two interceptions. He connected on 18 of 21 passes against Washington State last weekend and currently ranks No. 17 nationally with a pass efficiency rating of 157.5.

103: National ranking of UCLA’s pass defense this season
The Bruins give up an average of 266.4 yards through the air each game. Not a good sign when facing a USC offense that throws for 303.6 yards per game -- the No. 17 mark in the nation. UCLA gave up 457 passing yards just last weekend against the Cougars.

Oregon: By the numbers

November, 2, 2012
1: The national ranking of Oregon’s scoring offense
The Ducks are averaging an eye-popping 53.4 points per game this season, tops in the nation. Spearheading the incredible offensive scoring output is an Oregon rushing attack that averages 330.6 yards per game, which ranks No. 3 in the nation.

11: Consecutive victories Oregon has amassed since its loss to USC in 2011
The only team with a longer winning streak right now is Alabama, with 12 victories in a row. The Ducks have also won 12 straight road games, presently the longest streak in the nation.

21: Consecutive games in which Oregon has scored 30 or more points, the longest streak in the FBS
The Ducks are 40-2 with coach Chip Kelly when they pass the 30-point mark. They’ve also scored 42 or more points in 11 straight games, another mark that's tops in the nation.

33: Oregon touchdown drives, out of a total of 54, that have lasted fewer than two minutes this season
Additionally, 19 of those touchdown drives have taken 60 seconds or less.

54.8: The red zone scoring percentage of Oregon’s opponents in 2012, the third-best mark in the FBS
Oregon’s defense has been especially stout once opposing offenses have reached the Ducks’ 20-yard line this season, allowing just 17 scores -- 11 touchdowns and 6 field goals -- in 31 opportunities.
