Howl, howl, howl, howl! O! you are men of stones:
Had I your tongues and eyes, I'd use them so
That heaven's vaults should crack.

ESPN 150 CB Ramsey talks final visit

December, 20, 2012
Tennessee is working hard to get back in the race for ESPN 150 cornerback and USC Trojans commit Jalen Ramsey (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy). Apparently, it's going to take a lot more work.

The Volunteers have put the hard press on the No. 1 prospect in the state. Ramsey said he has spoken to new UT coach Butch Jones, running backs coach Jay Graham, defensive coordinator Willie Martinez and tight ends coach Mark Elder since the group was hired this month.

Jones was hired to replace Derek Dooley, who was fired after the 2012 season, and Dooley never had a strong connection with Ramsey. Unlike Dooley, Jones has a history of success at various programs.
Not only are the USC Trojans trying to close a highly ranked recruiting class, but they are also in a battle for wide receivers coach Tee Martin.

Icon SMIAfter a year of working with Marqise Lee and Robert Woods, could WR coach Tee Martin head back to Tennessee?
According to reports, Martin is being pursued for a similar position at Tennessee under new coach Butch Jones. And this is no ordinary offer. Martin, of course, was the quarterback of the Volunteers' national championship team in 1998 and would be considered a very popular choice among Vols fans.

Martin and his family flew to Knoxville on Monday for a chance to meet with Jones.

“Today was more about getting to know each other,” Martin told the Knoxville News Sentinel. “I could tell they were headed in the right direction.”

Martin told the News Sentinel he would fly back to Los Angeles on Tuesday to consider the offer. The Trojans do not practice this week as players are taking finals.

Martin has spent one year as the receivers coach at USC, a season in which Marqise Lee won the Biletnikoff Award as well as the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year.
