SAN ANTONIO – ESPN 150 wide receiver James Quick (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) has drawn plenty of attention for his play through two practices for the East team in preparation for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

He’ll garner even more eyes his way on Saturday when he announces his commitment during the game.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder said he is down to Louisville, Ohio State and Oregon. Though his decision will come Saturday, it could be finalized by Wednesday morning, as he sits down to discuss his options with his parents, who are in town for the event.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Four-star linebacker prospect Alex Anzalone (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing HS) decommitted from Ohio State on Friday and has eliminated the Buckeyes from contention. The 6-foot-3, 223-pound athlete confirmed his decision to reopen his recruitment via text message.

"After discussing it with my family, it was truly a decision based on my best interest," Anzalone wrote.

Ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker and the No. 61 player overall in the ESPN 150, Anzalone said he is still considering Florida, Stanford, USC, Penn State and Notre Dame.

Anzalone, who has already committed to play in the Under Armour All-America game, said he has no new timetable for making a decision.

LOS ANGELES -- In watching Tony Burnett over the past several years, one thing has become clear. The guy knows how to jump around.

Burnett originally attended USC on a track scholarship, where he took part in the long jump and triple jump, winning the Trojan Tri-Meet and Trojan Invitational in the latter last season. Eventually, Burnett found his way over to the football team and began his career as a safety before moving to cornerback last season. Tuesday saw Burnett make yet another leap up one level, as he ran with the first unit at strongside linebacker.

“I’m a pretty quick learner and I’m having to learn things fast,” Burnett said. “They threw me into the fire. It was pretty good for my first day ever playing the position.”

The USC coaching staff hasn't been shy about looking out of state for outside linebacker in this class, and Friday the Trojans reached out to Alex Anzalone (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area).

The USC offer marks the 29th school to jump into the mix for Anzalone, and all of them have come since February 1. He said the recruiting process has become a combination of being slightly systematic -- simply because so many schools have come calling in such a short period of time -- and exciting, due to the caliber of schools extending offers. But the USC offer stands out for Anzalone.

"I'm really excited to get an offer from there," he said. "It's a huge deal."
