Weekend rewind: USC

By Blair Angulo

LOS ANGELES -- The first member of USC’s current class officially visited campus this weekend and could not have been happier.

“Best experience ever,” defensive tackle commit Kenny Bigelow said. “My host Leonard Williams was great.”

Bigelow, the No. 2-rated defensive tackle who committed to the Trojans last November, is scheduled to enroll shortly after the Jan. 5 U.S. Army All-American Game.

Joining Bigelow on campus were four-star safety Leon McQuay III (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) and juco offensive lineman Desmond Harrison (San Pablo, Calif./Contra Costa College). McQuay’s father, Leon McQuay Jr., said the fifth and final official visit was a "good" one. McQuay, another early enrollee, is expected to announce his decision at the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 4.

Harrison, who also took his fifth and final trip, traveled back home to the Greensboro, N.C. area. The 6-foot-8, 310-pound lineman will mull the options over with his family over Christmas break, Contra Costa College coach Alonzo Carter said.

On Saturday night, five USC coaches had an in-home meeting with four-star athlete Max Redfield (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo), a former Trojans commit who is also seriously considering Notre Dame. Redfield, like McQuay, is scheduled to announce his commitment on Jan. 4.

Four-star offensive tackle Nico Falah (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) remained committed following his official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, but declined an interview request.
