Motovich (Torrance, Calif.): With Chris Hawkins not a sure thing, which of the current DB commits and potential recruits could play CB easily? We have a lot of athlete/DB commits or prospects that are more safety-types.

If the Trojans were to lose Hawkins -- which I doubt they will -- they could make a run at Priest Willis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos de Niza) to fill the void. Willis is listed at safety now, but the common belief is that he’ll play corner in college. At this point, losing a commitment would presumably free up a spot for either Leon McQuay III (Seffner, Fla./Armwood) or Tahaan Goodman (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga).
