USC cornerback commit Jalen Ramsey (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) had a good time on his official visit to Florida this past weekend but remains fully committed to the Trojans, his father Lamont said via text message Monday.
"Jalen's UF visit was good, like most visits," Lamont Ramsey said. "It's what you expect; good people, good facilities, good academics, hot weather and good fans. He's still USC and he stays in contact with them. He's not getting any pressure from family to stay close to home, we're going to support him no matter where he goes. He's going to pick the place he feels is best for him athletically, academically and socially (short and long term)."
The four-star cornerback, ranked No. 7 in his position for the class of 2013, had hoped to take his official visit to Los Angeles the weekend of Nov. 2 when USC hosts Oregon in a pivotal Pac-12 Conference game, but he is scheduled to take the SAT that Saturday.
"He'll visit after his season," Lamont Ramsey said.
Jalen Ramsey hasn't done any interviews since returning from his trip to Gainesville, instead focusing on his 4-1 Brentwood Academy teammates.
"He's trying to enjoy his senior year with his friends," Lamont Ramsey said.
