GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive back Priest Willis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos De Niza) has seen his stock increase in the last few weeks.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound athlete has added offers from Texas A&M, West Virginia, Florida, Colorado, LSU, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State recently. Willis also holds offers from UCLA, Cal, Florida State and USC.
Willis said he is excited about the Florida offer.
"That offer was cool," he said. "I don't know much about them, I'm looking into them, but I know they put a lot into their program and put a lot of guys in the league."
For Willis though, he says he is still in the beginning stages of his recruitment and doesn't favor any school at the moment.
"It's still early," he said. "I'm planning to take some visits over the spring. I will sit down with my stepdad and and we will figure out what we will be able to do. We will come up with a plan."
With offers from schools in the Southeast, will distance play a factor for the talented defensive back?
"No sir, not at all," he said.
As a junior, Willis accounted for 55 tackles, two interceptions, eight pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
