LAS VEGAS -- USC didn't end up signing former commit D.J. Calhoun, a Class of 2014 linebacker who enrolled early at Arizona State, but his influence on ESPN 300 athlete Isaiah Langley potentially could benefit the Trojans.
Langley, who already holds 25 scholarship offers, knows how to navigate through the strenuous recruiting process, all thanks to a friend who experienced it before.
“D.J. was certainly the most influential and really got this recruiting process started for me,” Langley said at the Pylon Elite West Coast Regional 7-on-7 tournament over the weekend. “I learned to take it all in and not to make sudden decisions. As a recruit, you’re in the driver’s seat to pick a school that is right for you. My objective is to put myself in a good position.”
