The long, curly, bleached hair is the most striking thing about three-star receiver Malik Lovette (Redlands, Calif./Redlands East Valley) until he takes flight to catch footballs.

Schools such as Notre Dame, Texas A&M and UCLA have seen enough to extend scholarship offers, and USC has also been intrigued early by the 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect who grew up idolizing Reggie Bush.

That interest could materialize into something more this upcoming weekend when Lovette unofficially visits the Trojans on Saturday along with fellow Inland Empire-based recruits Elijah Jones (Upland, Calif./Upland), a three-star safety, and Lokeni Toailoa (Rialto, Calif./Carter), a linebacker and one of the early standouts in the 2016 class.
