The USC Trojans were ranked as the No. 5 team in the nation today in the latest AP poll.
The Trojans finished their season last week by defeating UCLA to finish with a 10-2 record. Because of NCAA sanctions, the Trojans were unable to take part in the Pac-12 title game this past Friday and are also ineligible to take part in a bowl game.
It's the first time USC has been ranked in the top 5 in the AP poll since Oct. 31, 2009.
