Here is an update on performances of USC players who have been named to various college football award watch lists:

LB Dion Bailey, So. (Bednarik, Nagurski, Lombardi, Butkus): Bailey had a pair of interceptions and he tied for the team lead in tackles with eight. He also added a key stop on a two-point conversion attempt.

QB Matt Barkley, Sr. (Camp, Maxwell, O’Brien): Tied his own school record with six touchdown passes on 23-of-30 passing for 187 yards and an interception.

PK Andre Heidari, So. (Groza): Did not play.

OC Khaled Holmes, Sr. (Rimington): Left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return. No official word from school on injury or severity.

WR Marqise Lee, So. (Biletnikoff, Maxwell): The spotlight went to his fellow receiver Robert Woods, but Marqise put together a pretty solid night of his own with 11 catches and his first three-touchdown game as a Trojan.

DB T.J. McDonald, Sr. (Thorpe, Camp, Bednarik, Nagurski): Had six tackles against Syracuse. Kiffin says the pass coverage was expected to improve but that has not shown yet this year. McDonald will need to lead the way.

WR Robert Woods, Jr. (Biletnikoff, Camp, Maxwell): Played his way back onto the national stage with a vintage Woods effort; ten catches for 93 yards and a pair of scores, one run for 76-yads and a timely punt return for 31-yards.

RB Curtis McNeal, Sr. (Maxwell, Walker): His production took a step in the right direction with 63 rush yards, including a trio of runs which led to the first USC score.

LB Hayes Pullard, So. (Lombardi): Tied for the team lead in tackles (8) and also added a tackle for loss – which was a huge hit near the goal line.

RB Silas Redd, Jr. (Camp, Maxwell, Walker): Redd got his first career USC 100-yard game with 15 carries for 107 yards, including a long of 40.

DB Nickell Robey, Jr. (Bednarik, Nagurski, Thorpe): Had five tackles but did not get challenged a lot.

DL Wes Horton, Sr. (Lombardi): Saw minimal playing time with no stats.
