BELLFLOWER, Calif. -- High school football matchups are often anticlimactic, with top players avoiding other top players in an effort to maximize their impact.

But that was far from the case Friday night at Frank Ribotta Field, where St. John Bosco and Santa Ana Mater Dei faced off in a highly publicized Trinity League game that drew a standing-room-only crowd. With top prospects manning various positions, it was difficult for the stars avoid lining up against similar counterparts.
