GARDENA, Calif. -- While ESPN 150 cornerback and national track star Adoree’ Jackson took a break from football activities Wednesday afternoon to practice his baton exchange, the future of powerhouse Gardena (Calif.) Serra was on display in a seven-on-seven passing event that drew a visit from USC assistant Tee Martin, among other college coaches.
Serra, known for having produced Robert Woods, Marqise Lee and George Farmer recently, has built quite the reputation locally and already touts one of the most loaded rosters in the state this year, headlined by the five-star Jackson, four-star linebacker Dwight Williams, Boise State quarterback commit Jalen Greene and fast-rising receiver Jordan Lasley. The Class of 2015 is also represented well here, with defensive lineman Rasheem Green, linebacker John Houston Jr. and tailback Malik Roberson leading the charge.
And then there’s athlete Brandon Burton, a Class of 2016 prospect who bagged a scholarship offer from USC earlier this month.
