USC Trojans: Florida State Seminoles

Defensive back Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Junipero Serra), the No. 5-ranked prospect in the ESPN 150, has narrowed his list to 10 schools.

Florida, Florida State, Illinois, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, UCLA and USC all made the cut, Jackson told ESPN's RecruitingNation in a text message.

Jackson, the second-ranked cornerback in the country, is planning visits to Illinois, Tennessee, Michigan and Notre Dame over the summer. He doesn't have a timeline for his decision, but this cut gets him closer to his final choice.

CARMEL, Ind. -- Austin Roberts goes to Carmel High School, but Indiana is not his home. He was born in Dallas, but that’s not his home, either. The closest thing to home would be the state of Florida, but he lived in three different cities and was there for a little more than half of his life. The other half was spent moving from city to city.

That’s the life you live when your father coaches in the NFL. Alfredo Roberts, Austin’s father, is currently the tight ends coach for the Indianapolis Colts.

For most college football recruits, announcing a top 12 doesn’t attract a ton of views. For someone like ESPN 150 safety Jamal Adams (Lewisville, Texas/Hebron), a top 12 is news that many programs have anticipated for months.

That’s because Adams, a 6-foot, 199-pound, four-star defensive back, has been quite vocal about his high school football team's expectations and teammates but very tight-lipped about his recruiting. Many have speculated his interest, but he’s rarely confirmed or denied any reports.

A junior college receiver who has offers from several big-time programs was recently offered by Texas.

D’haquille Williams is the first junior college prospect to land a Texas offer. HornsNation caught up with two of his coaches at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College this week, and both made it clear they’ve never coached a guy like him.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound wide receiver is one of the nation’s top juco prospects. He put up 1,295 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns on 67 catches as a freshman at MGCCC and also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Texas A&M, USC and a long list of schools.

Now that spring ball has started, ESPN 150 defensive tackle Gerald Willis III has been inundated with interest from college recruiters visiting New Orleans Edna Karr High School. He expected that.

That’s why, even if he’s comfortable with naming his top four schools, his list remains a fluid one. New schools are working hard to get in the mix, and Willis is ready to hit the road for more visits this summer.

On the football field, he’s one of the nation’s best cornerbacks, an athlete with more than 20 scholarship offers. Over the weekend, Brown not only won the defensive back MVP award at the Dallas Nike Football Training Camp but also earned an invitation to The Opening this summer in Oregon.
