Mitch Sherman takes a early look at the 2013 Under Armour All-America game and its already loaded roster:

Nearly 60 football players have already pledged to play in the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. Poll them on their motivation to participate in the event, and you'd likely receive about 60 different answers.

That's the beauty of the Under Armour Game and the week of practice prior to it -- it offers something different for every prospect involved ...

When the rosters are complete, the sixth annual Under Armour Game will include 90 of the nation's top seniors.

The game last season, played Jan. 5 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., after practices at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla., featured former NFL head coaches Steve Mariucci and Herm Edwards in addition to 10 of the top 12 players in the final ESPN 150.

Mitch talked with prospect about what it means to play in the game. Read the story here.

This week's Verbal Commit podcast also takes a look at the game. Listen here Listen.

Darius James is currently the only Longhorns commit on the roster. However, the game does feature several Texas targets.

SAN ANTONIO - - Even in an Alamodome full of hundreds of athletes wearing the same workout clothes, class of 2013 safety Marcell Harris (Groveland, Fla./South Lake) still had a way of standing out at the U.S. Army combine on Friday.

Maybe it was his 6-foot-2, 195-pound frame, and the speed with which he moves. It could be the dreadlocks that stretch down his back, or his coverage skills in one-on-one drills.

Whatever it was, Harris is hard to miss and programs from across the country have already taken notice. He already has offers from Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, LSU, Notre Dame, USF and Temple. Numerous others are bound to join the pursuit.

Ten Texas commitments made the trip to St. Petersburg, Fla. for the Under Armour All-American Game on Thursday, and two left a little banged up.

Five-star running back Johnathan Gray (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) left the game with a high ankle sprain, and four-star quarterback Connor Brewer (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral) exited with concussion-like symptoms.

Both, however, appear to be OK.
