Texas Longhorns: NCAA Football 13
Courtesy of EA SportsRGIII in burnt orange? It's a reality, virtually. It’s not impossible, you know.
Robert Griffin III could’ve been a Longhorn had Texas recruited him as a quarterback. And had he not gone pro early, Griffin would be a senior this fall.
What an alternate reality that would be, huh? Luckily, with the newest feature in EA Sports’ “NCAA Football 13,” he can come true. With the Heisman Challenge feature, RGIII is a Longhorn.
We simulated the 2012 season. The results were, well, surprising.
Week 1: Wyoming
Griffin lobs a 75-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Shipley on his first-ever play in burnt orange. Everything else is a disaster. Griffin throws for 456 yards and three touchdowns but also tosses two picks. Wyoming scores with 2:56 left and stops Texas on its next three drives.
Wyoming 35, Texas 31. Seriously.
Week 2: New Mexico
The now-unranked Longhorns respond with a whooping of virtual Bob Davie and his Lobos. Griffin passes for 498 yards and four touchdowns. He finds Shipley 12 times for 178 yards and two scores. The Longhorns D forces four turnovers, three on picks.
Texas 52, New Mexico 0.
