ESPN 150 defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson (Fort Worth, Texas/Arlington Heights) was unable to make his official visit to Alabama this weekend and plans to reschedule it.
The Texas commit was scheduled to take in Alabama’s 29-24 upset loss to Texas A&M on Saturday but said he had to postpone the visit.
Instead of making the long-distance trip, Robinson stayed close to home and took an unofficial visit to TCU for the Horned Frogs’ 23-10 loss to now-No. 1 ranked Kansas State.
“My sister graduated from KSU, so me and her and my mom went to see the game,” Robinson said. “It was pretty good.”
Robinson has been committed to Texas since February but wants to take official visits to Alabama and USC this fall to compare the schools to UT. He also took an official visit to Florida State in September.
Though he enjoyed his time at Amon G. Carter Stadium, Robinson said TCU is not a school he’s considering right now.
As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide still have home games against Western Carolina and Auburn left on their schedule. Robinson is not sure when he’ll take that official visit now, but he still intends to take one.
“I haven’t picked a date to go yet,” Robinson said.
